Special Announcement - Updated July 21, 2019

Matching Gift Challenge Complete for

"Objects of Affection --2019 Special Appeal & Matching Challenge"

We are grateful to announce that approximately 200 friends helped Stepping Stones match the $10,000 from anonymous donor to create a $25,000 fund for preservation of historic objects in the home and studio and for related projects.

Thank you to all who contributed since May to give the special summer appeal a great start and thank to all who rallied in recent days to raise the last $3,000 needed for the match.

This special fundraising effort was launched to create a fund for the preservation of the personal effects of Bill and Lois, which are cared for in the historic home and studio. Gifts ranging from $1 to $10,000 will now fuel this fund for the critical care of key objects and related activities, including a high-quality preservation-grade display for the Man on the Bed painting.

If you would like to help us exceed the goal to do even more professional preservation of materials throughout the property, please click the link above to go to our donation form. Once completed, make a secure payment via PayPal as a guest or as an account holder.

Serve as a Remote or On Site Volunteer
Stepping Stones relies on the generous spirit of its community - both near and far - to help keep the site open to visitors and maintain the property and archives that the Wilsons left in our care.
Some volunteer roles can be done remotely from home via the internet. From one's own home town the types of opportunities include helping raise awareness, social media outreach, helping to index our archive, graphic and web design, writing, editing, and more. If you have a skill that you would like to share with Stepping Stones, please send an email to info@steppingstones.org and let us know how you can help. Feel free to include bio, CV, or resume or a link to your company if you would like.

Some of the on-site opportunities are: giving tours, gardening, helping to host events, carrying out light maintenance, helping with office and clerical work, assisting with tech support, and more. To volunteer, email your contact information, availability, and interests to info@steppingstones.org.

Host an awareness-raising event!

If you and your friends would like to organize and hold an event in your hometown area for Stepping Stones such as a presentation by a Foundation representative about Bill and Lois; a dinner, breakfast or luncheon; or an  entertainment event (movie, comedy, or dance), please email info@steppingstones.org with your contact information and event ideas, including our special presentation called "Stepping Stones Comes to You." It is a 1-2 hour presentation with images from our archives and it can be presented at most any gathering.
