Bill at Work
This photograph shows Bill Wilson at his writing desk in his studio at Stepping Stones. Bill moved the desk from Newark, New Jersey, where he wrote most of the first 164 pages of the book Alcoholics Anonymous.
“After the Traditions were adopted by AA, a book on both the Steps and the Traditions was in demand, and Bill undertook to write it at Stepping Stones. His recently finished studio (“Wit’s End”) provided the seclusion he needed.” -Lois Wilson, Lois Remembers
