Stepping Stones’ longest event tradition – a family celebration of recovery started by Lois Wilson – was presented online in 2020 and 2021. The world premiere of a 55-minute dramatic reading by actors based on Bill and Lois Wilsons’ letters from the Stepping Stones Archive was very popular, so we are planning to reshow it soon. Bill W. & Lois W.: Their Journey in Letters tells a moving love story using only words written or spoken by the Wilsons spanning their lives by sharing personal letters and stories following the couple through courtship, marriage, Bill’s descent into alcoholism, his recovery, and the birth of A.A. and Al-Anon Family Groups. Historic images and original music included. Once the registration link is posted, if you need help email firstname.lastname@example.org . Tentative Schedule (Eastern time zone): 8:30 p.m. Welcome & Historic Picnic Lookback; 8:45 p.m. Play Reading.

These do not require complicated staging, props, or costumes. They are perfect for amateur or professional use at group anniversaries, events, picnics, conferences, round-ups, retreats, young peoples’ programs, or other online or in-person gatherings.
